How it Works

Pocket Diapers are made out of three components. A waterproof outer layer that is made from PUL (Polyurethane Laminate), a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric. A moisture-wicking inner layer that wicks moisture away from your baby’s bottom into the absorbent insert, helping to keep your baby dry and comfortable. And two absorbent inserts made from three layers of Microfibre material

One size fits all (OSFA), Birth to potty nappy means there is no need to buy different sized nappies as your baby grows. You can adjust the nappy from Small (3,5-6,5kg), Medium (7-11kg), to Large (12-15kg). And the nappy fastens around the waist using the easy to use snaps, this allows the nappy to “grow” with your baby. The nappy also comes with an elasticated back and leg gussets, this helps to prevent leaks.

Step 1:
Charlie Banana - Adjust the bra-elastic inside the diaper to the desired size.
Tiny Hiney - Adjust the diaper by simply snapping the front row of snaps to the desired size.

Step 2:
Charlie Banana/Tiny Hiney - Once the diaper is sized to the desired setting, stuff the Microfibre Insert into the pocket , ensuring it lays flat inside the pocket. The diaper can be stuffed with one, two or more Micfofibre inserts, to meet different absorbency needs.

Charlie Banana - If using a disposable insert, place one disposable insert on top of the fleece and place it under the front flap of the diaper. This will secure the disposable insert.

Step 3:
We recommend that you use a nappy liner, by simply placing the liner on top of the diaper, then once the baby has soiled the diaper, lift the liner and flush it. The liner facilitates the removal and the cleaning of solids, it makes it EASY!

Step 4:
Place baby on a diaper. Pull the front of the diaper and snap the leg's snap first. Make sure it is snug and tight with no gap at the leg. Snap the upper snaps as you wish, so baby is comfortable.

Tips: Try on your wrist to feel how comfortable it feels even on a tight setting as there should be no gap.

Step 5:
When baby needs a change due to urine only, simply remove the diaper and place in diaper pail. If baby has a dirty diaper, shake the waste into the toilet and place in the diaper pail. If using the liner, simply lift and flush it in the toilet. You can rinse your diaper first or throw it into the wash directly.

Step 6:
Place in washing machine and select cold or warm wash to a maximum of 40C. Use an eco-friendly detergent, only half of the recommended amount is needed. Do not use fabric softener. Only chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry LOW or hang to dry. Do not iron. Do not use cream or ointment, unless you are using the disposable insert. Your detergent needs to be residue-free.
